IMS Enrollment / Refund / Liability Policy
All current and potential students of IMS Academy have to read and agree to the following terms and conditions.
Enrollment Policy
1.Students must turn in application document, photocopy of passport and application fee ($100, non-refundable) in order to apply.
2.Letter of Acceptance is issued after the payment of the application fee.
3.Students must notify the academy in advance about any form of food allergy, disease and disabilities, if any.
4.Students must complete payments four weeks before the course begins. If payment in full has not been received, the registration could be cancelled.
5.Students are recommended to purchase the flight ticket and insurance through IMS partner agency after the enrollment.
6.The course begins on the date specified in the application. Students must move out of the dormitory on the appointed date in accordance with the contract.
7.When making decisions about any changes of the course or the accommodation, students must consult with the local manager in advance.
8.To enroll in special courses (English proficiency exam prep, Undergraduate prep), students must meet the academic requirements. If enrolled in English proficiency exam preparation courses, students must comply with the specific course policy.
9.Students cannot transfer courses or contract to other students.
10.For students enrolling for less than four weeks, the tuition is arranged as the following.

Attendance and Certificate
1.Course completion certificate will not be given to students with attendance rate less than 90%.
Course Duration Policy
1.Students must apply for course extension at least four weeks prior to the end of the current course. Students must consult with the manager.
2. Extended course tuition must be paid two weeks prior to the start date of the extended course.
Course Change Policy
1. If requesting for course change after the course start date, students must consult with the manager at least a week prior to changed course start date.
2.The difference in fees will not be refunded.
Refund Policy
1.Students must submit “Refund Request form”. Any refund process will be completed within 30 days.

2-1. Any payment regarding short term course of less than four weeks is non-refundable.
2-2. In case of disease of the student or the student’s family, 60% of the payment will be refunded regardless of the remaining period. (Students must turn in the medical report.)
2-3. If student fails to arrive at the campus on time, refund or supplementary lesson will not be made.
2-4. If student violates IMS Academy policy, he/she may be expelled or suspended. No refund will be given.
2-5. No refund or class will be conducted on Philippines’ public holidays. (IMS Academy maintains minimum of 18 days of lesson for 4 weeks.)
2-6. If fails to fulfill the minimum lesson (18 days for 4 weeks), supplementary lesson will be offered upon prior notice.
Postponement
1.If student has a condition to pause the course temporarily, he/she can request postponement. Only one postponement will be allowed and the student must restart within six month. After six months, the postponement will automatically be cancelled and no refund will be made.
Medical Insurance
1.Medical insurance is mandatory for the students during their course at IMS Academy.
2.If student refuses to purchase insurance, he/she is responsible for any form of medical incidents or damages.
Liability Policy
1.IMS Academy and its representatives will not be liable in cases where IMS Academy is unable to fulfill any services due to the reasons beyond its control, such as natural disasters, war and unforeseen occurrences of any kind.
2.IMS Academy holds no liability for any loss, damage or injury for incidents resulted without prior notice or the academy’s permission.
3.Students are fully responsible for any incidents, loss or disease on/off the campus; IMS Academy holds no liability.
4.Student may be covered only for the amount determined by his/her own insurance; IMS Academy holds no liability for any incidents.
5.If student takes away his/her passport due to personal reasons, he/she must return it to the office. If not returned, the student is responsible for any incidents resulting from the action.
6.Regular class schedule is Monday through Friday and minimum of 18 days per month (4 weeks).
7.IMS Academy may change prices due to tax increases, governmental actions, other events beyond IMS Academy’s control. Also, IMS Academy has the right to change course dates, curriculum and programs in order to provide higher quality education for our students.
8.IMS Academy may address warning and dismiss students who demonstrates detrimental class behavior such as unexcused absences and violence.
9.IMS Academy has a right to expel the student or take legal action against students who cause damages to the academy by assembling students with improper purposes.
10.IMS Academy has a right to expel the student or take legal action against any defamation caused upon the academy.
11.If student violates IMS Academy policy, IMS Academy has a right to expel or suspend the student and inform the parents and the agency regarding the issue.
